These ladders roll easily, and lock in place securely. Heavy duty construction: 1" square tubular steel handrails and frame are 40% stronger than round tubing. 2-4 step ladders have spring loaded locking casters. 5-16 step ladders have heavy duty "lock-safe" first step with manual release handle allowing easy operation - no bending, no foot release, low maintenance. Four casters supplied on all ladders. The Max-Trax stair tread assures a solid step with 1/2" dia. perforations for slip resistance and prevention of dirt build up. Serrated treads offer extra slip resistance in very oily or wet working environments. Either style has 7" deep steps, extra deep 14" top platform. Legs of ladders are equipped with rubber tips for extra safety. Welded sub-assemblies for extra strength. Hand rail is 30" above platform for extra protection. 42" top handrail on 13-16 step units. All ladders meet OSHA standard 1910.29 and ANSI standard A14.7 - 1991. Oversize top platforms available in depths of 21", 28" and 35". All-welded versions of ladders available upon request. Gray enamel finish. Specify: (A) Max-Trax step or (B) Serrated step. 2-4 step ships KD and shrink wrapped. 5-9 step ships KD, shrink wrapped, and skidded. 10 step and above units ship KD and crated for maximum protection during shipping.

Tapered design for better stability (5 or more steps)
 
Spring loaded casters for 2 thru 4 step models retract automatically when weight is applied, allowing rubber tips to grip the floor. Remove weight and ladder is ready to roll.
 
"Lock-Safe" mechanism for 5 step thru 16 step ladders. Caster automatically and safely retracts with weight on first step. Just lightly pull "Lock-Safe" handle and the ladder is ready to roll. Provides extra security.
