Why does my Air Lift go up in stages? It seems to jump 2" to 4" at a time.
Uneven air flow or air pressure is too high. The Air Lift works best at 100 psi. It will still jump some, but not as radical.
Why is air leaking from the cylinder at the cylinder end plate or cylinder?
Seals may be worn and may not seal properly.
Oil cylinder walls. This will allow the seals to seat properly. Use a
1:1 mixture of 30 wt motor oil and STP (1 oz of each). Squirt mixture
in ½” hole in cylinder end plate. This should be done at least twice a
year. The best solution for long seal life is to place an in-line dryer (to
remove moisture from the air) and an inline oiler to the air line
supplying the lift. Replace seals. Use cylinder repair kit 11183.
What size of air compressor do I need to operate the lift?
Almost any size air compressor will work as long as it can produce 100 psi. pressure. The lift uses very little air.
Why does the foot pedal leak air?
Oil around valve stem with tool oil sometimes helps valve to seat better. Replace valve stem (12887)
Why won't my lift go up without help at the bottom of the stroke?
The air line is restricted. The air line may be pinched under the lift frame. Move the airline. The hose may be bent too much under the table. The foot pedal needs to
be on the same side of the table as the 90 degree elbow from the
cylinder points.
Why is oil leaking from the cylinder or foot pedal?
The oil drip is caused by air flowing through the foot pedal and the cylinder. This is common. The oil is assembly oil used at the factory to help the
seals and allow the cylinder piston and valve stem to move freely. Oil
is used to coat the cylinder walls to prevent rust from forming due to
moisture in the air. One way to keep oil off your floor is to throw a rag under the foot pedal and it will absorb the excess oil.

Every smooth running warehouse or storage facility must know where
inventory and supplies are at all times. If products always stayed in
the same place this would be an easy task, but because inventory
storage is a fluid system, this is not the case. Removable label
holders solve this problem.
While an upfront investment is required, it has been well
documented that the payback is easily justified by ease of normal
changes and cost savings of up to 50 percent in materials by
eliminating expensive and hard to move self adhesive labels. Labor
savings are also gained by eliminating the time it takes to remove self
adhesive labels. One case study confirmed that major retailers saw a
return on initial investment within the first 12 months of investment.
Besides the obvious organization benefits, removable labels also
offer bar code protection. Facilities that use an automated bar coded
inventory system must protect their bar codes from dirt and moisture.
Failure to protect bar codes can result in an inaccurate scan.

What Lift Height is Required?
Fixed mast units range from 50” – 86”. Telescopic (2 stage) mast
units range from 94” to 144”.
What is the Weight of the Heaviest Load?
1000, 1500, 2000, 2700 lbs. and 3000 lbs. capacities are available.
Take into consideration added weight of pallet or container.
What is Length (Front to Back) of Load?
Load center capacity is as important as weight
capacity (see separate load center (L.C.) diagram pg. 13).
• 48” long pallets require 24” L.C.
• 40” long pallets require 20” L.C.
Length of load must not be longer than twice the size
of the rated load center.
What Type of Lifting Power?
Manual operated lifts for lighter weights and lighter work cycles.
Electric (AC or DC) for heavier work cycles and loads.
What About Overall Height?
Overall height is 14” – 18” higher than lifting height. Take into
consideration doorways, pipes, lighting and overhead obstructions.
What are the Width Restrictions?
With or without load, check width of doorways, narrow aisles or
congested areas to be navigated.
What Type of Load is Being Lifted?
Would special attachments help? Ram, boom with hook, remote
control, special forks or platforms, etc. (See options and
attachments page 12 and 13.)
Platform Models
Platform models are used as portable lift tables in numerous
ergonomic applications. (Oversize platforms available on special order.)
Non-Straddle Fork Models
Non-straddle fork models have base legs close together. Normally
used for skids where wheels and base legs, as well as forks go
under skid.
Straddle Fork Models
Straddle fork models have wider base legs (out-riggers) which
straddle load or pallet. (Example: a 48” wide pallet requires 50” I.D.
straddle legs.)
